Our Governance

Northern Baptist College is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB), which is made up of churches, associations and colleges. NBC serves the churches of the Northern half of England.

We provide training and formation for mission and ministry based in Manchester in an ecumenical partnership that makes up the Luther King House Educational Trust. We also provide training and formation through various partnerships with other theological colleges and mission agencies.

Northern Baptist College is both a company limited by guarantee and a charity and has a Governing body made up of Directors/Trustees.

We also have two students who serve as Senior Students  who attend and participate in Governing Body meetings.

The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic direction for our College, ensure appropriate policies are in place and operated effectively, to oversee our work with students and staff and our relationships with partners and to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

They meet three times a year, delegating some functions to committees and invite people to join them to advise them on particular matters.
